Helping organisations find clarity in their communications & turn complex work into stories that matter

Most organisations have a powerful story to tell but struggle with the ‘last mile’—translating technical data and human impact into a voice that is clear, accessible, and carries the authority the work deserves.

I bridge the gap between high-level strategy and creative execution. I believe that external storytelling only works when there is internal clarity; I help leadership teams align on who they are and what they stand for, so they can speak to the world with confidence.

With over a decade of experience in the UN and NGO sectors, I help teams turn complex missions into narratives that are clear, credible, and able to stand up to scrutiny.

How I Help

I focus on the points where communication usually breaks down in mission-led work: complexity, fragmentation, and the drift toward reactive ‘content’ over intentional strategy.

My role is to provide the senior-level oversight needed to move from simply being busy to being effective. I help you build the systems, narratives, and visual tools that ensure your mission is heard, understood, and supported.

This kind of support is most valuable when
  • A mission has outpaced its brand. The work has evolved, but the visual and verbal identity is still catching up.
  • The narrative is buried in data. You have the evidence, but it hasn’t been translated into a story that builds donor trust or public engagement.
  • The team is stuck in 'delivery' mode. You’re producing a high volume of output, but it lacks a cohesive strategic thread.

How I work

I embed myself within your leadership team for a set number of days per month, moving beyond the role of a traditional vendor to become a strategic partner. I start by listening: understanding how your organisation sees itself, how decisions are made, and identifying where communication feels stuck, fragmented, or unclear.

The Diagnostic: I begin with a deep dive into your current communications ecosystem—identifying gaps in brand consistency, donor trust, and internal workflows.

The Roadmap: We define a clear set of objectives designed for maximum impact. This process is intended to create a sense of lightness: fewer competing priorities, clearer decisions, and communication that feels intentional rather than reactive.

The Partnership: I provide the senior-level leadership to execute that roadmap. Whether I’m guiding your internal team, vetting external agencies, or bringing in trusted collaborators, my focus remains on clarity over activity.

Experience

I’ve spent over a decade at the intersection of communications, design, and storytelling, specifically within global health, education, and humanitarian contexts.

I’ve supported organisations including WHO, UNICEF, IOM, GSMA, DEMAC, Equal Measures 2030, and UNESCO, alongside a range of charities and mission‑led teams. My work thrives in complex or sensitive environments where clarity and cultural nuance are non-negotiable.

Delivery is supported through CODA Creative, the studio I founded in 2022.

Currently accepting new fractional partnerships for [Q2/Q3 2026].

I work with a small number of organisations at any one time, typically in a fractional or interim capacity. If this approach feels relevant to where your organisation is right now, I’m always open to an initial conversation.
